Mardi Gras Cake anyone

Okay, so I didn't know what a King Cake for Mardi gras was. DO YOU? Mamaw brought the cake and we had so much fun with this. They told us who got the plastic baby would have good luck. Carson was so fascinated with this cake, And I guess I could say so was his older brother Drew. We found the baby and carson was so excited.

On Saturday we all went to the basketball game. Abi had a great game and scored 16 of the 20 points. Way to go Abigail. here are a few pictures of the game. the little kids didn't take much to the game so they had a little fun in the lobby eating candy.

What a weekend we had. James mom and sisters came to Longview this weekend to visit. This is the first for us to have anyone in Longview from out of town. We had a lot going on but loved every second of their time here. Carson was so excited to see his cousin Natalie who also came. Then on Saturday Abi had a basketball game and the boys come for a quick trip from Wichita Falls. What could be more fun then a little family time. Here are some pictures of our great weekend.

Things have been really busy. We have all been passing around the bug. I don't think anyone here has a good nights sleep in about a week. James is the last to have the bug and has been in bed all day. I hope the week ahead brings a much healthier family. Not many other things going on but we did have basketball and a little great time at the house doing nothing.

Okay I know

well, I said I was going to keep up the blog a little better this year. Well, Things have been more crazy this month then they ever have. I don't know if a lot of you know but Mrs. Brittany has went to live with her dad in Wichita Falls. It was just hard on her being away from her friends and her school. So i guess we will see how everything goes with that. So I have been going home a lot and spending time with her and watching her basketball games. She is doing really good and is playing basketball in Iowa Park.
Abi has start playing Basketball also and is doing so good. It is so amazing how they change in just a year. She seems to have caught on to the game. She is the tallest girl on her team and almost one of the tallest in the league. Funny! my daughter wears a size 9 shoe and is as tall as me..Who would have thought. Really she is only 11 and looks like she is 16..and also thinks she is
Now, Carson! he has been keeping up with us all. He is doing great in school and loves to ride the 4 wheeler. We are trying to get him in soccer here in Longview, but we just can't seem to hit the deadline just right. When we moved down here we had just missed the deadline and now we missed it by a weekend...uh! maybe they can get him on a team.
James and I keep up with the kids as much as we can. I am working still at the temp agency doing staffing and he is also working hard at Pine Tree ISD. He is in school again getting his super degree ( as Carson would say) and should be done in Aug or so I think. Man, every time I turn he is going back to school.
I posted a lot of pictures of the different things we have been doing in Jan. I again hope to keep up better in Feb. but hey don't count on that.
